at the Olympics.Michelle Obama will take a break from cheering on Team U.S.A. at the London Olympics for a cause for the next generation of athletes.According to New York Daily News, before leading the presidential delegation to the opening ceremony on Friday,
Michelle Obama will be joined by David Beckham and a lineup of his fellow all-stars at a Let's Move! event for about 1,000 American and British children.The event, which is part of Obama's initiative against childhood obesity, will include both British and American students, as well as the children of U.S. military members living in the UK.The kids will play at sports stations, watch performances and meet Olympians and Paralympians, including Sarah Hughes, Nadia Comaneci, Shawn Johnson, Carl Lewis and Dara Torres."This isn't just about sports, it's about being active," the first lady said.he said the goal is to "turn that Olympic spirit and inspiration into action."Obama will also devote some time on her trip to America's "special relationship" with the UK.Before the opening ceremony, Obama will attend a reception for heads of state at Buckingham Palace, hosted by Queen Elizabeth II.
