Iran's FM to visit Turkey over abducted Iranians in Syria: report

Tehran, Aug. 7 (Xinhua-ANI): Iran's Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi is set to leave Tehran for Ankara on Tuesday to discuss the issue of abducted Iranian pilgrims in Syria with Turkish officials, Iran's Foreign Ministry website reported.

"Since the Free Army of Syria has claimed responsibility for the abduction of Iranian pilgrims, the travel of Dr. Salehi is aimed at reminding Ankara of its responsibility over the issue," said the report.

Forty-eight Iranian pilgrims were abducted Saturday by militants in the Syrian capital Damascus. (Xinhua-ANI)
