Twitter reveals identity of 'psycho' threatening 'Dark Knight'-style shooting rampage

   Aug 8, 3:19 pm

Washington, Aug 8 (ANI): The New York Police Department has forced micro blogging site Twitter to reveal the identity of a psycho man who threatened to recreate the Colorado massacre at a Broadway theater.

Twitter, after receiving a subpoena from the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, caved and revealed details to help identify the person, whose tweet handle is @obamasmistress.

The nut job tweeter threatened to target the Longacre Theatre on West 48th Street, where former heavyweight boxing champ Mike Tyson is appearing in a one-man show, "Undisputed Truth."

"This s-t ain't no joke yo - I'm serious, people are gonna die like Aurora," the man tweeted, referring to "The Dark Knight Rises" movie-premiere shooting rampage, which killed 12 and injured 58 others, the New York Post reports.

Earlier Twitter had refused to identify the tweeter, saying the threats, which surfaced on Friday, didn't meet its threshold of being "present, specific and immediate."

The company gave no explanation for changing its decision.

Meanwhile, an NYPD spokesman declined to say whether the tweeter has been identified, adding only, 'the investigation is ongoing.' (ANI)
