Islamabad, Aug 10 (ANI): In a case of suspected conversion, a teenage Hindu girl, MK, from Pakistan has been converted to Islam and married off to a man identified as Ghulam Murtaza Channo.

MK's family thought she had been kidnapped after she went missing for five days. However, the police informed her family members that the married couple had appeared in the Sindh High Court in Sukkur, demanding protection, reports The Express Tribune.

The district police have been directed to provide them protection.

"M phoned us today and said that she had married but we heard the voices of two men and a woman and doubt that she was being allowed to speak freely," said MK's father Beebo.

"We'll migrate to India, if M is not recovered. We can't live with this situation now," he added. (ANI)
