Washington, Aug 11 (ANI): Most Americans are 'hopeful' about the progress of United States, even though they see no signs of economic recovery, according to a new poll.

The Fox News poll results showed that 57 percent of American voters felt "hopeful" about the direction of the country, which was up from the 33 percent, a year ago.

The poll found that almost half of the American voters felt President Barack Obama's economic plan "needs more time to work," while another 5 percent said it's "already worked."

According to Fox News, almost 28 percent Americans claimed Obama's plan "had failed," while 15 percent believed he "didn't have a plan".

The survey also showed that nearly six voters in 10, or 58 percent, claimed that they don't see any signs of economy recovery, as opposed to the 39 percent, who felt the worst is over.

Along partisan lines, the poll showed that almost all Democrats thought Obama's plan had either already worked or just needs more time, while most Republicans claimed that the president's plan had either failed or he didn't have one.ndependents were split evenly on Obama's economic plan, with 49 percent claiming it's worked or will work, given more time, while 48 percent felt the opposite, the report said.
