LiLo gets workers permit in Canada for Liz Taylor role

Washington, Mar 30 (ANI): Lindsay Lohan, who is set to play Elizabeth Taylor in a new film, has been issued a work permit for Canada despite her criminal record.

The 25-year-old actress has been cast as the late legendary actress in the Lifetime movie, 'Liz and Dick', which will be shot in Toronto.

Lohan has two DUI s and a theft conviction on her record, and Canada doesn't freely issue permits to people with criminal records, TMZ.com reported.

However, according to sources, Canadian officials realized the 'Mean Girls' star has been receiving positive marks from the court and her probation officer. They signed off on the permit hours after she completed her community service requirements on Thursday. (ANI)
