George Michael irritated for not being taken seriously

London, May 3 (ANI): George Michael has complained that he is not taken seriously and that no one listens to his views on politics because of his love for risky sex.

The former Wham! star unleashed his irritation after trying to discuss serious matters on his Twitter account.

"My place in society as a successful entertainer has totally negated whatever I was trying to say....," the Daily Star quoted him as writing.

"Whether the issue was Iraq, the lawful mistreatment of musicians bound to contracts, or the right to personal privacy," he said.

The 'Faith' hitmaker also admitted the fact he "put a shuttlecock down my shorts on a Wham! tour" did not help.

"Of course I didn't help matters by waving my arse around in the video for Faith..:)

"Or perhaps by putting a shuttlecock down my shorts on the first Wham! tour. Oh, and sharing an intimate moment with a Los Angeles policeman in a Beverly Hills park.... :)"

"Regardless, you have to try, don't you?" he wrote.

Michael is better known for his outrageous private life than his serious discussions.

In 1998 he was arrested in a public toilet in a park in Beverly Hills for "engaging in a lewd act".

Eight years later he was caught emerging from bushes on Hampstead Heath, London, after an illicit encounter with a van driver.

Michael, also jailed in 2010 for drug driving, spoke about his love of seedy outdoor sex.

"The handful of times a year it's bloody warm enough, I'll do it.

"It's a much nicer place to get some quick and honest sex than standing in a bar, E'd off your tits, shouting at somebody and hoping they want the same thing as you do in bed," he added. (ANI)
