Madonna may face lawsuit over French politician's Nazi depiction

London, June 5 (ANI): Madonna has been threatened with legal action after she depicted the leader of France's far-Right National Front party, Marine Le Pen as a Nazi.

The singer angered French politician Pen late last week during her MDNA tour's inaugural concert in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Madonna performed her song 'Nobody Knows Me' in front of a giant screen that depicted various world leaders and politicians.

At one point in the song, Le Pen's face appeared, along with a swastika insignia superimposed on her forehead.

Le Pen hit back by threatening to take Madonna to court and accusing the superstar, who will turn 54 in August, of being an ageing self-publicist.

"We understand how old singers who need to get people talking about them go to such extremes," the Daily Express quoted her as saying.

On being asked if she would sue, Le Pen said that she would think on those lines if the singer repeated the offense while performing in France.

"If she does that in France, we'll be waiting," she said.adonna is due to appear next month at the Stade de France in Paris and in Nice in August.

The National Front has been previously linked to anti-Semitism and racism, due in large part to previous leader Jean-Marie Le Pen - Marine's father - who was a convicted racist and anti-Semite. (ANI)
