Mariah Carey debuts new song for President Obama
Jun 16, 5:39 pmWashington, June 16 (ANI): Mariah Carey has extended her full support to U.S. President Barack Obama's re-election campaign by penning an inspirational new song in his honour.
The R 'n' B superstar debuted the ballad, titled 'Bring It on Home', as she performed at a special fundraiser for the democrat at New York's Plaza Hotel on Thursday.
Carey, who also backed Obama in the 2008 election, took to her Twitter blog after the bash and wrote about the performance.
"Just finished performing Hero, We Belong Together and Bring It On Home - a song I wrote especially for the event," Contactmusic quoted her as tweeting. The Plaza Hotel event took place hours after Obama mingled with guests at actress Sarah Jessica Parker's house for another political fundraiser.
This fundraiser was co-hosted by 'Vogue' editor Anna Wintour and attended by Aretha Franklin and Meryl Streep. (ANI)
