Octomom sued by Florida strip club for cancelling show

London, July 11 (ANI): Nadya Suleman, who is better known as Octomom after giving birth to octuplets in 2009, is being sued after she allegedly backed out of a deal to strip at a Florida club.

T's Lounge in West Palm Beach filed the complaint against Suleman, claiming that she had agreed to dance topless in eight shows that were scheduled to begin on Wednesday.

The club is seeking an emergency injunction to stop her from appearing at a competing club.

The 37-year-old has been summoned to appear in court, but no hearing date has yet been set.

It is still not clear whether the matter will be resolved before she goes on stage at The Playhouse Gentleman's Club in Hollywood on Friday.

The dispute began almost as soon as Suleman signed a contract on June 3 to appear at T's Lounge in what was claimed as her "first feature dance appearance."

Two days later, a representative for Suleman sent a notice cancelling the appearance after club bartender called her "crazy" in a television interview.

"She will not be defamed by the club that was booking her, nor walk into a bad situation," the Telegraph quoted the message as reading.

Suleman's contract required her to give 35 days' notice, but the complaint claimed that she had only given the notice for 34 days. The contract also barred Suleman from appearing at another strip club within 50 miles and 90 days of the scheduled appearances in West Palm Beach.

A copy of the contract is attached to the court filing, but the amount that Suleman was to be paid has been removed.

T's Lounge is suing for an amount in excess of 15,000 dollars. The document claims the exact damages stemming from Suleman's cancellation are "unascertainable" and that she caused "irreparable harm." (ANI)
