Ben Whishaw to play iconic role of Q in 'Skyfall'

London, July 13 (ANI): Ben Whishaw is all set to play James Bond's gadget guru Q in the new 007 film Skyfall .

The producers behind the 23rd Bond film confirmed that the part was returning with the 31-year-old actor, on Thursday.

Whishaw is much younger than previous stars who have played the man whose job it is to keep Bond equipped with the latest ingenious technology.

John Cleese had the part recently after taking over from Desmond Llewelyn who starred in 17 films.

"It's a real thrill to confirm the return of Q, played by the enormously talented Ben Whishaw," the Daily Express quoted producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli as saying.

The young actor recently played the title role in the BBC's Richard II. (ANI)
