JLo and Steven Tyler 'dumped' by American Idol bosses

Washington, July 15 (ANI): Former ' American Idol ' judges Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler were dumped from the show rather than walking away on their own accord, according to reports.

Hollywood trade paper The Wrap revealed that the stars were shown the gates when the negotiations couldn't be materialised, Radar reported.

According to an insider from tabloid, Lopez was paid 12 million dollars and 15 million for her first and second season respectively. The singer's reps demanded 17 million dollars for the third season, but the network "surprised her" by not making a counteroffer.

However, things didn't even get that far with Tyler. The Fox simply didn't pick up the 'Aerosmith' singer for another season.

Meanwhile singer Randy Jackson's future on the show is uncertain but promising. Two top Fox execs, Peter Rice and Kevin Reilly, reportedly want to make a clean sweep of it.

After the constantly falling ratings, they want to give the show a complete makeover with just host Ryan Seacrest returning.

Besides this, veterans like Mariah Carey, Kanye West and Mary J. Blige are all rumoured to be under consideration on judging panel. (ANI)
