I'm a woman who likes to be courted, says Katy Perry

London, August 2 (ANI): Katy Perry, who split with husband Russell Brand after 14-months of marriage, has admitted that she wants to be 'courted' and 'wooed' when it comes to love.

The singer insists that despite a string of failed relationships, she still very much believes in love and wants a man who can sweep her off her feet.

The crooner, who was linked to Florence and the Machine guitarist Robert Ackroyd and is now said to be dating musician John Mayer, claimed that she'll continue to let love rule her.

"I'm a woman who likes to be courted, strongly. Never say never, I guess you'd say. I'll let love take the lead on that," the Daily Mail quoted her as telling the Elle magazine.

However, the 27-year-old beauty had previously told the Daily Mirror that she is the only person that can make herself happy and doesn't need a prince charming to give her fairytale a happy ending.

"I've learnt I'm in a very modern fairy tale. But I also know I don't need the Prince Charming to have a happy ending. I can make the happy ending myself," she had said.

"Being in love is the dream. But the reality of making it work is not like the movies," she had added. (ANI)
