Soccer star Jermaine Pennant held after car crash

London, Apr 30 (ANI): Jermaine Pennant, who was arrested following a car crash near his home, was being quizzed by cops on Sunday night.

The 29-year-old Stoke City winger was taken in custody on suspicion of drink driving and driving while disqualified.

The football er's white BMW collided with a silver Audi in the early hours just ten minutes from his luxury mansion in Hale, Cheshire.

"A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and disqualified driving," the Sun quoted a police spokesman as saying.

"He remains in police custody for questioning.

"The driver of the Audi was taken to hospital for treatment.

"His injuries are not believed to be life threatening," the policeman added. (ANI)
