Sachin books 'Dinner Date with Dubai' on June 9

Riyadh, May 3 (ANI): Ace cricketer Sachin Tendulkar is set to visit Dubai on June 9 for a dinner event, where he would be greeting his fans as well.

Branded 'An Evening with Sachin Tendulkar, the master blaster will be addressing a gala event at Intercontinental Hotel (Festival City), which would be open to over 400 invited guests.

"We are honoured to host the inaugural event here as Dubai is our headquarters and hope to find the target audience," the Gulf News quoted Navneet Sharma, CEO of FidelisWorld, as saying.

The evening will have Tendulkar sharing personal insights to his career in an interactive session with the guests and auction some personal memorabilia, whose proceeds will go to charity.

He will also be awarded with an Outstanding Achievement Award from Wisden India in recognition of his outstanding career and of course the century of centuries.

In a statement released by Tendulkar, it said, "I am happy to be partnering with FidelisWorld and having an opportunity to meet my fans and supporters in the UAE through this event. I have many fond memories of playing in this country, and have always appreciated the success and support I have had here. I look forward to being in Dubai for the first stop of a six-city world tour." (ANI)
