London, May 6 (ANI): David Beckham went topless and showed off his impressive body in his first ever photo shoot for ELLE magazine.

is going to be the first time a man has ever graced the front cover of ELLE, so bosses of the publication are obviously hoping it will have an impact.

The footie star may have turned 37 just a few days ago but he is just as fit and healthy as ever.

To prove it he has stripped off to show his toned chest once again as the publishers gear up the excitement ahead of its release. teaser video showing behind the scenes footage of the shoot has now been released by ELLE chiefs online ahead of the July issue's release, the Daily Mail reported.

The LA Galaxy star is set to appear semi naked on the hotly anticipated cover.

Beckham shows off his six pack and collection of arm tattoos as he stands holding a white towel with his hair slicked back during the cover session.

In other stills from the clip he is seen punching the air against a backdrop of trees and a swimming pool.

When it was announced last month that Beckham was to become the first male cover star of the publication, the sports man said: " ELLE is a prestigious magazine with international recognition.

"I'm honoured to have been asked to be the first ever solo male fashion cover," he said. (ANI)
