Former Pak captain Moin Khan favors T20 captaincy change

   May 9, 12:48 pm

Islamabad, May 9(ANI): Former Pakistan captain Moin Khan has supported the suggestion to change the Twenty20 captain for the national team, but insists Misbah-ul- Haq must be retained as captain in the one-day and Test format, since the team has performed brilliantly under him.

Media reports have suggested that Mohammad Hafeez is the front-runner in the race to replace Misbah as Pakistan 's new T20 captain.

"There should be a change in the Twenty20 leadership," The Express Tribune quoted Khan, as saying.

"But Misbah must be retained in the remaining formats because the team has done well under him," he added.

Former captain Shahid Afridi is the other name rumoured to replace Misbah, but his earlier decision to not accept the captaincy is expected to go against him. (ANI)
