England WAGS to hire private jet for overnight getaway from Euro'12 over safety fears

   Jun 4, 10:58 am

London, June 4 (ANI): Wives and girlfriends of England players plan to hire a private jet to travel for the Euro 2012 tournament amid fears for their safety.

The WAGS are believed to be scared by the threats of violence and racism from thuggish fans in Ukraine and Poland.

The report comes after families of black England stars Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain said that they would not go to the championship finals in case they are targeted, leading to a group of WAGS to decide that the safest way is to fly in for the games and then jet back home again without staying overnight.

"The idea is that they'll club together and pool the cost. There have been a lot of scare stories and the players don't want their WAGs to be put in any jeopardy," The Sun quoted a source, as saying.

The plane will reportedly cost the bandwagon over tens of thousands of pounds. (ANI)
