Hazard seals 32m pounds deal with Chelsea

London, June 5 (ANI): Lille star striker Eden Hazard has signed a 32 million pound deal with Chelsea and is expected to meet his new team-mates for a pre-season training in early July.

Hazard revealed a personal chat with owner Roman Abramovich helped secure his million pound deal with Stamford Bridge.

"I spoke with Abramovich, he is very simple and loves football. We were on the same wavelength, he wants to confirm Chelsea's position at the top. Chelsea have made a good investment for me, but I did not put any pressure on them," the Daily Mail quoted Hazard, as saying.

Chelsea have reportedly confirmed a fee with Lille and personal terms with Hazard have been agreed for the transfer of the talented 21-year-old.

The highly rated forward claimed that he could easily have ended up at Old Trafford, had Chelsea not grabbed Champions League glory against Bayern Munich last month.

"I've always wanted to play in England, there was a struggle between Chelsea and United, but to me Chelsea have the best project," added Hazard.

Hazard is Chelsea's second summer signing after Germany midfielder Marko Marin, and they are closing in on a third as a move for Porto forward Hulk reaches an advanced stage. (ANI)
