Chelsea needs to stop sacking managers for stability: Hiddink

   Jul 30, 5:41 pm

London, July 30(ANI): Former Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink has told the club's owner, Roman Abramovich, to stop sacking managers and give Andre Villas-Boas a chance.

Villas-Boas is Abramovich's seventh appointment in seven years.

Since taking over in 2003, the Russian billionaire has parted company with Hiddink, Claudio Ranieri, Jose Mourinho, Avram Grant, Luiz Felipe Scolari and Carlo Ancelotti.

"If you look at Manchester United, they are the example that clubs need stability. It is what Chelsea need too," the Sun quoted Hiddink, as saying.

"Carlo did well for the last two years but, hopefully, this decision will now bring success for the future as well," he added.

When asked if he had already told Abramovich to adopt a more sensible approach towards his managers, Hiddink said: "Yes. I feel they're convinced now." (ANI)
