Specialist bowlers key to England winning ODi series against Windies: Cook

   Jun 18, 11:28 am

London, June 18 (ANI): England one-day skipper Alastair Cook believes that packing his side with five specialist bowlers is the correct game plan to deal with the West Indies.

Speaking after England had registered a 114-run win over the West Indies in the first one-day international, Cook was quoted by The Sun, as saying: "It means that, whenever I throw the ball to someone, he is a world-class bowler."

Many sides opt for all-rounders in one-day cricket and the Windies line-up was packed with men who can bat and bowl.

England was helped, of course, by the absence of Chris Gayle with a shin injury. And No 3 bat Darren Bravo, was hindered by a groin injury.

Both Gayle and Bravo are doubtful for tomorrow's second match of the three-game series at the Kia Oval. (ANI)
