Fergie believes 'there will be life after him' at Old Trafford

London, July 22 (ANI): Manchester United boss Sir Alex Fergusson believes there will be life after him at the Old Trafford, once he retires from his job.

United might have been pipped to the Premier League title by bitter rivals Manchester City last season, while Chelsea realised Roman Abramovich 's dream of becoming the champions of Europe, but Ferguson has no doubt that United will always continue to come back strongly, even after he departs.

"Of course, there will be life after me. Absolutely. Manchester United is an institution and the history of the club forces everything. We have support all over the world and that in itself raises expectation levels," the Daily Mirror quoted Fergusson, as saying.

Fergusson said that who ever will be his successor at the Old Trafford would walk into a dream job and won't have the heart to say 'no' to it.

"It won't be an impossible job to succeed me with the structure we have at this club. It will need an experienced manager, and I don't think the club will choose a young manager because of what the job demands. But no one will refuse this job after me, whatever the situation," Fergie said.

"We've got a great stadium, a great training ground and a lot of good young players. These players will be the United team in years to come, so it would not be a daunting prospect to follow me. Whoever does come in will have his own way, but he will have a foundation to work from," he added. (ANI)
