'Remorseless' Els says would keep cheating with belly putter until it gets banned

London, July 24(ANI): Ernie Els, who has been one of the most candid opponents of long putters, has admitted he used the belly putter to win The Open Championship, and insisted he would keep doing that until it gets banned.

When Els' own performance on the greens deteriorated, he began experimenting with the belly putter two years ago.

Els used a belly putter to take advantage of Adam Scott's collapse over the final holes at Royal Lytham on Sunday.

"Nothing should be anchored to your body, and I still believe that," The Sun quoted Els, as saying.

"But as long as it's legal , I will keep cheating like the rest of them," he added. (ANI)
