North, South Korea spar over table tennis training photo shoot in London

London, July 24 (ANI): An attempt by South Korean journalists to take photographs of North Korean table tennis players during a training session just days before the London Olympics, raised temperatures between the two nations.

According to the London Now, a North Korean official expressed anger when South Korean journalists started taking photographs of his team during a training session at London's ExCel Arena. He threw a towel at the media contingent and yelled, 'Don't shoot'.

"Why can't you Koreans understand Korean language?" the official ranted at South Korean journalists .

"You're not supposed to shoot us before the tournament. If you keep doing this, we will not sit idly by," the official warned.

The South Koreans reportedly complained to the organising committee, who supported the North Koreans by saying that their wish to train in privacy should be respected. (ANI)
