South African cricketers dominate ICC rankings

Cape Town, July 25 (ANI): The South Africans are dominating the ICC Test rankings after beating England in the first Test as four of the top six batsmen, and three of the top six bowler feature in it.

Seeing the current form of the Proteas the team is also likely to also shift to the top of the ICC Test rankings very shortly.

The Proteas are guaranteed to leap from No. 3 presently just behind England and Australia in that order if they ensure an early series triumph by beating Andrew Strauss's side in the second Test at Headingley from next Thursday.

Following an update to the lists after the crushing first-Test win, Jacques Kallis (second), Hashim Amla (third), AB de Villiers (fifth) and captain Graeme Smith (sixth) feature in the batting list.

Dale Steyn continues to rule the bowlers rankings very comfortably, and his seven wickets at The Oval ensures that he has a rating figure of 896.

Vernon Philander lies fourth and Morne Morkel sixth, Sport24 reports.
