Boss Horner says Red Bull facing scrutiny because of their fast car

   Jul 26, 5:16 pm

London, July 26(ANI): Red Bull boss Christian Horner has said the current world champions are not the bad boys of Formula One, and they are being targeted just because they possess a super fast car.

Red Bull was called in to explain a bizarre pattern with their engine performance before last Sunday's German Grand Prix at Hockenheim.

However, Horner dismissed suggestions that Red bull were behaving like bullies.

"Unfortunately, when you have a quick car it is inevitable that questions are asked. Formula One is a competitive business. We reported to the stewards on Sunday morning to have a talk about a few of the technicalities on the car," The Sun quoted Horner, as saying.

"The rules are in black and white and, having looked at the evidence, they were fully satisfied. That's the nature of F1, you are always going to get other teams who will speculate," he added.

"There is no clause in the regulations that refer to the spirit of the regulations. They are fairly straightforward. It is either in or out. I cannot be a little bit in or a little bit out. I am sure there will be debate about this but the regulations are clear," he said. (ANI)
