How Bernie exposed secret that broke daughter Tamara's heart
Jul 28, 6:06 pm
London, July 28 (ANI): Bernie Ecclestone exposed daughter Tamara to her boyfriend's sleaze tape, that led her to break up with Omar Khyami after a two and half year relationship.Tamara could tell from the tone of her father's voice that something was seriously amiss.Formula One boss Bernie, 81, is a very busy man, so for him to call at 3.30pm on a Thursday afternoon with the words "Come to my office now" did not bode well. "I was panicking, thinking: 'I hope he's OK, I hope there's nothing wrong?'" the Daily Mail quoted the 28-year-old socialite as saying."I had no idea what it was about and my father wouldn't tell me over the phone," she said. When Tamara walked into her father's London offices, she was surprised to see her mother Slavica, who divorced Bernie in 2008, there. Her mother was in tears, while Bernie looked stricken."My dad took me to one side and said what I was about to see was going to upset me, but I had to watch it," Tamara said."Then I sat down with my parents and a video was played to me on a laptop computer. "My mother was crying and my father looked ashen-faced, while I was just numb with shock," she said. There were two high quality clips that showed two people involved in a sordid sex act. One lasted for 30 seconds and the other for about two minutes. One of the participants, she realised to her horror, was her 38-year-old boyfriend of two and a half years, Khyami, the man she hoped to marry and have children with. Tamara could see on Khyami's wrist the two 30,000-pound Cartier love bangles that she'd bought him. She'd given her "soulmate" one in yellow gold shortly after they had met, and one in white gold around a year back.It was clear to her that the sex tape had been filmed after their relationship had started while Khyami was still sharing her bed, whispering sweet nothings and talking about engagement rings."I felt sick, mortified, betrayed and acutely embarrassed for my parents that they'd had to see this. I mean, my dad's in his 80s.When it was over, my mum said 'I can't believe you are so calm,' but inside I was just frozen with disbelief, grief-stricken and too stunned to cry. It felt as if I was mourning someone who'd died, because I realised the man I loved didn't exist."I felt scared to have shared my bed with someone like him and angry he'd had no consideration for me or my health. I felt that the past 2 1/2 years of my life had been a complete lie. When we'd finished watching the tape, Dad asked me: 'What do you want to do?' I replied: 'There's no discussion.' There was no question of what needed to be done. It was over. "I could have stomached, just about, the betrayal of a one-night stand, because everyone makes mistakes, but this was completely different. You'd have to see the tape to understand. He obviously has problems and I don't want him to betray another girl like he's betrayed me and for her to feel the same way I do," she added. (ANI)
