Linekar's cancer-hit son targeted by wicked Twitter hooligan

London, Aug. 2(ANI): Legendary footballer Garry Lineker has slammed a sick Twitter hooligan for targeting his cancer-hit son.

Ex-England striker Lineker revealed that his eldest son George was sent tweets about his life-threatening leukemia, which had left him "physically sick".

George Lineker had successfully fought off a rare form of leukemia as a baby in the 1990s.

"I'm about to RT (retweet) 3 tweets that were sent to my son that make me feel physically sick. Culprit has deleted his account," The Sun quoted Lineker's tweet, as saying.

The first vile tweet said: "@GeorgeLineker heard ya Leukaemia, pity ya didn't die. XD"

The second read: "Haha your dads a washed up piece of s*** Leukaemia boy."

And the third said: "cheers for the retweet cancer boy! You f***ing gent! XC haha."

Gary, who has four sons, later sent another tweet to his followers saying: "Thanks for the tweets of support and concern. Don't worry @GeorgeLineker doesn't let it bother him. It's wrong though, it really is!" (ANI)
