Andy Murray's pooches flaunt Olympic medals on Twitter

   Aug 7, 2:47 pm

London, August 7 (ANI): Andy Murray's girlfriend Kim Sears tweeted photos of their two dogs wearing the Tennis star's Olympic medals, barely a day after he won them.

Maggie May and Rusty, the gold and silver medallists in the photograph, belong to Murray, 25, and Sears - who sat and cheered him on as he beat Roger Federer in straight sets in the men's finals.

Barely a day after he won gold in the singles and silver, with Laura Robson in the mixed doubles, the two pooches appeared to have snatched them for themselves, the Daily Mail reported.

Sears tweeted on her dog's account named @maggiemay_hem: "Here we go folks... Just checking to make sure Rusty definitely has the silver, obviously. pic.twitter.com/Gk48XWBI."

The post accompanied the picture, where Maggie May appeared to be looking longingly at the silver medal - despite possessing the gold herself.

Rusty looked proud to have the silver medal draped around his neck, as the gold medal-winning border terrier looked on.

Sears, a true animal lover, paints all sorts of creatures as a hobby, and has her own website where she showcases her work and links to Maggie May's Twitter feed. (ANI)
