Lightening Bolt talks about 'fast cars and women' to keep mind clear before big races

   Aug 11, 12:01 pm

London, Aug 4(ANI): Olympic champion Usain Bolt has revealed that he likes to talk about fast cars, women and music before the start of any big race.

Bolt, who is under pressure from fellow Jamaican Yohan Blake to retain his Olympic titles, said he doesn't feel the need to indulge in mind games since he is confident of beating everyone he is competing against.

Blake is the fastest man in the world so far this year, with his 9.75s at the trials, and Bolt's best this season is 9.76 in Rome in June.

But Bolt insists that the two will chill together in the call room, the area down in the bowels of the Olympic Stadium where athletes have to wait before going out for their race.

"Before the race there will be guys who want to stay quiet and stay focused and guys who want to talk. I prefer to talk so I'll talk to any of the Caribbean guys because we know each other," The Sun quoted Bolt, as saying.

"I'll probably end up talking with Yohan. We'll talk about girls, cars, music . . . anything that takes your mind off the race. I don't need mind games. You don't need to if you know you can beat the other person or the other people in there. Mind games are not necessary for me," he added

"I just stay relaxed and do my own thing. The first time I think about the race is when I hear 'on your marks'. All that time before we are in the blocks I'll be waving at the crowd and still be thinking about anything other than what I'm to do. Computer games even!" he said. (ANI)
