Pak player Nawaz confident of victory against India in U-19 World Cup match

   Aug 19, 5:16 pm

Islamabad, Aug 19 (ANI): One of Pakistan's brightest Under-19 talents, Mohammad Nawaz, who will be battling it out against India in the U-19 World Cup quarter final in Townsville, Australia on Monday, has said he is positive about winning against the rival country.

"The team as a whole is very confident about the upcoming game against India. There is also pressure on us to win this game, but regardless, we are confident that we can win," Pak Passion quoted Nawaz, as saying.

"We played well against them (India) in Malaysia, but we have worked on many areas of our game. We are aware that Indian batting is strong, but we feel that the Indian captain Unmukt Chand is the main batsman to watch out for, and is a threat to us," Nawaz added.

"I would say that we are working more on our own abilities instead of worrying too much about the opposition," he further said.

The winner will move into the semi-finals to be played on 23rd August, against either New Zealand or West Indies. (ANI)
