Weak wi-fi signal? Try using a baking tray

London, November 7 (ANI): A man in UK has found out how to use a baking tray to amplify a weak wi-fi connection.

Peter Cochrane was on a boat at the Norfolk Broads, unable to get online. He boosted his flagging signal using an old baking try to focus the reception.

According to this blog at Silicon.com, his mobile phone showed just one bar of 2.5G and one bar of wi-fi.

The former Chief Technology Officer at BT conducted 'a few simple experiments' and got the desired results.

"I'm able to locate the direction of the 2.5G base station and the strongest wifi signal. So I now have three bars of wifi and 2.5G by way of the unlikely combination of a baking tray and some judicious positioning," the Telegraph quoted Cochrane as writing on his blog.

"No matter how well prepared you are, there are times when you don't quite have to hand all the technology you really need," he added. (ANI)
