Apple iPad accounts for 94 percent of tablet web traffic

   May 5, 5:17 pm

Sydney, May 5 (ANI): Over 94 percent of the Internet traffic from computer tablets comes from the Apple iPad, according to a report.

According to the online advertising network Chitika, the next closest competitor is the Samsung Galaxy tablet.

The Nook Tablet share is even lower, though clearly both the Nook and Amazon Kindle are marketed less as web browsing devices and more as media consumption tools, News.com.au reports.

Chitika said that in the future, 'the competition is going to be hard pressed to find a way to overthrow the seemingly omnipotent Apple.'

"Not only do they offer a great product, they have the undying devotion of their enthusiasts," it added. (ANI)
