Apple investigates Oz shop for stealing sex pics of Aussie Olympian

   Jun 17, 1:07 pm

Melbourne, June 17 (ANI): Global technology company Apple is investigating a Sydney computer repair shop, which has been accused of stealing images of a prominent Australian Olympian having sex with his wife.

Apple spokeswoman Fiona Martin claimed that the company was looking into the matter after The Sunday Telegraph revealed that an accredited and official Apple reseller copied private pictures of the household-name star and his wife in numerous sexual acts last week.

It was reported that the sportsman had taken the computer to the inner-city store to be repaired, News.com.au reported.

Martin also called on any of the customers, who fear that their privacy had been compromised at an Apple store, to contact the company immediately.

However, Martin hasn't given any guarantee that Apple would take steps to protect its customers, or that it would withdraw the store's licence.

It was also revealed that shop staff used scan machines for intimate material under the encouragement of the store's owner and upload sensitive photos and videos to a shared drive.

And while The Sunday Telegraph has seen the pictures, it has chosen not to name the Olympian or publish the photographs.

However, the storeowner denied targeting sexual images and said that storing such information on computers is the user's personal choice.

Surprisingly, according to The Sunday Telegraph the Government has been aware of the legal loophole for years.

"Any investigations are a matter for the relevant police force, in this case NSW Police," Attorney-General Nicola Roxon's office said. (ANI)
