43pc Brit men would chose work over sex

London, June 19 (ANI): Many men in Britain would make extreme sacrifices to keep a roof over their family's head in the current tough economic climate - as they would prefer to give up sex than lose their job, a recent poll has revealed.

The survey of single and married men aged between 21 to 50 showed that nearly half of those questioned would prefer to lose their virility than their career if they were forced to chose between the two.

The poll by online casino Roxy Palace discovered that 43 percent of the 700 men questioned said that they would live without sex if it meant keeping their jobs.

"What a dilemma! If it came down to an either or choice I'd have to live without sex," the Daily Mail quoted one respondent, who wished to remain anonymous, as saying.

"There's no way I could afford my mortgage and bills if I lost my job and the whole family would be in crisis. Thankfully this isn't a choice I have to make," he said.

The survey targeted men in full time employment in the UK but did not discriminate between married and single men.

Unsurprisingly, the respondents without a family to support said that they were more likely to give up their job and find another one rather than become sexually inactive.

"If it came to giving up work or sex there really is no comparison. I'd find another job without too much difficulty but I couldn't imagine a life without sex," one anonymous respondent said.

A spokesman for RoxyPalace.com said that the results provided an interesting insight into a man's priorities based on their relationship status.

"We all know how tough it is out there at the moment so perhaps it isn't surprising that 43 per cent of men said they would live without sex if it meant keeping their job," he said.

"For many losing their jobs may equate to losing a roof over their children's heads so I guess many parents would be prepared to do whatever it takes to stop that from happening - even if that means living without a sexual relationship.

"But single guys or those who haven't yet had children are more likely to think of their job as a disposable commodity, something they can replace easily. These guys would prefer to dump their job than have to face anything as depressing as impotence ," he added. (ANI)
