15th quarterly meet of State Level Bankers' Committee held in Hyderabad

Hyderabad (Telangana), June 28 (ANI): The 15th quarterly review meeting of the State Level Bankers' Committee (SLBC) was held in Telangana's capital city Hyderabad. Telangana's Annual Credit Plan (ACP) for the year 2017-18 was launched during the programme. State's Minister for Finance and Planning, Etela Rajender, presided during the event held at ITC Kaktiya Hotel. Addressing a gathering at the programme, the Minister urged the banks to provide loans to the needy farmers. Lauding the state Gove ment-led schemes, Etela Rajender said that the administration has succeeded in implementing them within past three years. Set up as per the directions of Reserve Bank of India (RBI), State Level Bankers' Committee, is the highest body of bankers within a state. The committee meets once a quarter. During such meetings, top-level functionaries of member institutions of SLBC debate upon various issues conce ing the economic development of a state. The forum also takes lead in initiating, streamlining and accelerating the process of development in close co-ordination with various gove ment departments, RBI, NABARD and other developmental agencies.
