6 arrested with banned currency worth Rs. 2. 71 Crore

Aluva (Kerala), July 28 (ANI): Police in Kerala’s Aluva arrested six persons with demonetised currency worth Rs. 2.71 crore. Reportedly, a police team had signalled the accused to stop near Paravoor Junction but they sped away. They were finally intercepted by another police team led by superintendent of police, A.V. George at Aluva junction and four bags of banned currency notes were seized from their car. The police have registered a case in the matter and further investigation is underway.
