M. K. Stalin, other DMK leaders released after detained for holding protest outside assembly

Chennai (Tamil Nadu), June 14 (ANI): Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) working president M.K. Stalin and other party MLAs, who were detained for staging a protest outside the assembly today, were released on Wednesday afte oon. Senior DMK leaders including Kanimozhi, E. Pugalendi, V. P. Duraisamy and T. K. S. Elangovan had gone to meet Stalin when in detention. The leaders said the gove ment is incapable of facing the opposition in the state. Hundreds of DMK supporters in Coimbatore also staged a protest by blocking roads and raising slogans, demanding immediate release of their leaders. The Tamil Nadu Assembly saw a huge showdown between the ruling All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) and the DMK over the MLAs sting operation.
