Hockey Asia Cup 2017: India eves to take on Malaysia today .

Kakamigahara [Japan], Oct 31 (ANI): The Indian women's hockey team will aim to continue their unbeaten run in the Asia Cup 2017, when they face Malaysia in their final Pool A fixture here at Kakamigahara Kawasaki Stadium on Tuesday .

The Indian eves are currently standing at the top of the group, with two wins from as many games .

Indian had kicked off their campaign with a thumping 10-0 win over Singapore before easing past China 4-1 in their second game on Monday .

It was goals by Gurjit Kaur (19'), Navjot Kaur (32'), Neha Goyal (49') and Rani (58') that ensured India beat China and keep up their winning momentum in the tournament .

Malaysia, on the other hand, are standing second in the group . South Korea and Japan are currently the top two teams in Pool B .

If India win or settle with a draw today, it will finish at the top of Group-A and will face the bottom placed side of Group-B in the quarterfinals .

The quarter-finals will be played on Thursday, with the semi-finals slated to be held on Friday . The Final will be played on Sunday .(ANI)
