New Delhi [India], November 15 (ANI-BusinessWireIndia): The University of New South Wales (UNSW Sydney) is set to make yet another mark on the international student market with the launch of two new UNSW Diploma Programs.

With the first intake commencing in September 2018, the new UNSW Sydney, Diploma in Science and Diploma in engineering programs will provide international students with an exciting new pathway into one of the world's top universities.

Successful completion of required courses in a Diploma program will enable students to enter the second year of an undergraduate degree program in science or engineering.

Students will now be able to achieve a Diploma qualification as well as degree in the same timeframe.

The Diploma programs have been designed to provide students with a supportive learning environment over an 11 month study period.

Key features of the programs include: an academic English and Communication skills course; curricula and courseware which are based on a first year degree courses and the inclusion of significant additional face-to-face teaching.

"The Diploma Program is aimed at a different student profile than our foundation studies programs. Foundation studies graduates commence university in first year whereas our Diploma graduates will articulate directly into the second year of their chosen degree," said UNSW Global, Group Executive Education, Marc Weedon-Newstead.

"The Diploma Programs enable international students to build their academic and English skills while studying equivalent first year science or engineering subjects with additional teaching and support, which means they will be up to speed with their classmates when they enter the second year of their degree,"

"The Diplomas offer students a unique pathway to UNSW Sydney, one of Australia's best universities, ranked 45th in the world."
