Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], Nov 28 (ANI): At the culmination of the first day of the Global Entrepreneurship Summit here on Tuesday, women entrepreneurs hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's political journey as "one that's a testament of attaining what you dream of."

Rajlakshmi Borthakur, a woman entrepreneur who found a special mention in Advisor to U.S. President Donald Trump Ivanka Trump's speech told ANI that the Prime Minister's career is an inspiration to entrepreneurs worldwide.

Meanwhile, San Francisco-based Dara Dotz, who was also recognised by Ivanka, said that the summit was a great place for entrepreneurs to look for mentorship, as this was a key struggle faced by the budding entrepreneurs.

"Ivanka, in her empowering speech, spoke about the importance of mentorship for entrepreneurs. However, this still remains a challenge. The Indian economy is very warm and engaging for us as entrepreneurs. I am hoping to look for mentorship through this summit," she said.

Ivanka trump, in her speech, recognised three women- 15-year-old Reyhan Camalova from Azerbaijan, Dara Dotz from San Francisco and Rajlakshmi Borthakur from Bengaluru.

Dara spent over a decade working in underserved communities around the world. She witnessed firsthand that many times people need very simple items - a bucket for carrying water, a splint to treat an injury, or a part to fix a generator. Daraco-founded Field Ready to provide life-saving supplies through 3-D printing. Today, Dara's company responds to disasters all over the world and delivers humanitarian aid with cutting-edge technology.

Rajalakshmi works in the healthcare sector and owns Terra Blue. She invented a smart glove that predicts, manages, and detects different diseases and disorders using Artificial Intelligence. Now her company aims to make specialty healthcare accessible in even the most remote places in India.

Reyhan is the founder of a company that harvests energy from rainwater.

"These women represent the vision, ambition, and grit of every entrepreneur here today. You are saving lives, creating jobs, and bringing hope to our communities. You are transforming our societies one business, and one customer, at a time. You prove to the world that we have the power to rise above the challenges of our day - to pioneer new pathways forward - and to leave our mark on this moment in history," Ivanka said while delivering the inaugural address of the GES 2017 earlier in the day.

On a related note, the three-day summit is being hosted for the first time in South East Asia by the Governments of India and the United States.

With the theme of "Women First, Prosperity for All," the three-day summit will witness majority of women participants, with over ten countries being led by all-female delegation. (ANI)
