Rajasthan Government, Teradata partner to improve citizen service delivery

New Delhi [India], Nov 23 (ANI):In order to enhance citizen service delivery and engagement across the state, Rajasthan Government has joined hands with Teradata, a data and analytics company for a period of three years.

The state government is working to provide Big Data environment to analyse state level data and thereby, increase the efficiency of departmental cross functional operations.

"Presently, government data is managed within department-level silos assisted by department-centric IT applications. Under the new 'Big data environment project, we have developed solutions to hold integrated data being generated real time across the state to help better address analytical requirements that facilitate state-level decision-making," said Arun Chauhan, Additional Director, Department of IT & Communications.

The move will also bring greater transparency and efficiency, thus increasing savings and reducing fraudulent subsidy payments as well as facilitate timely delivery of services.

Teradata will supply, install, commission and integrate solutions including Teradata Aster, the advanced analytics discovery platform and Hortonworks Data Platform (Hadoop) at the state data centre site for both real time data analytics and also previously generated data.

Teradata will also set up a research platform leveraging data science capabilities for pre-production analysis of Hadoop data.

" By leveraging leading Big Data analytics solutions, the state government will be able to utilise technology to improve service delivery and drive greater citizen satisfaction, which is critical for its vision of enabling citizens' growth and empowerment," Rajesh Shewani, Head of Technology and Solution Architecture, Teradata India said in a statement.

Some of the benefits of the Big Data project include determination of eligible beneficiaries, unified citizen data, easy tracking of beneficiaries across schemes, enhanced citizen engagement, fraud detection and sentiment analytics. (ANI)
