ONGC supports Cyclothon organised to promote Saksham

New Delhi [India], Feb. 6 (ANI): As a conscious corporate, ONGC supported Cyclothon with active participation from the ONGC Board and employees in equal measures on Monday, at India Gate. The Cyclothon, a part of the month long oil and gas conservation campaign 'Saksham', attracted massive participation from all age groups and cycle enthusiasts. D K Sarraf, CMD, ONGC, Shashi Shankar, Director (T and FS), D.D. Misra, Director (HR) and V.P. Mahawar, Director (Onshore) pedaled the cycle to support the oil conservation campaign, Saksham, endorsing the cause and creating awareness in equal measure. Earlier, Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Dharmendra Pradhan inaugurated the month long awareness drive on January 16, 2017, organised by PCRA and other oil and gas PSUs, emphasising on the need for self-sufficiency in the oil and gas sector. Celebrating Saksham (Sanrakshan Kshamta Mahotsav), ONGC has outlined various awareness programmes in all its offices and work centers across India to popularise this energy awareness campaign amongst the employees, their families and the local populace in its area of operations. In addition to Cyclothon, Pan-India campaigns like Sit and Draw, Walkathon and a slogan competition are being organised at all work centers of ONGC to actively engage employees. (ANI)
