Washington D.C. [USA], Nov. 22 (ANI): American actress Angela Bassett is the latest to join the star-studded cast for 'Black Panther' which comes to theaters in 2018. Marvel Studios recently announced, on their official website, that they have added the 58-year-old Academy Award-nominated actress to the cast of the movie. "Bassett, who currently stars in 'American Horror Story,' will play Ramonda, mother of T'Challa, aka Black Panther," read the article on news.marvel.com. Directed by Ryan Coogler, 'Black Panther' stars Chadwick Boseman in the title role alongside Michael B. Jordan, Forest Whitaker, Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurira, Daniel Kaluuya, Winston Duke, and Florence Kasumba. Boseman earlier this year spoke to E! Online of his 'uncomfortable' superhero suit, "It's also exhilarating." Jordan, who starred in Coogler's 'Creed', will be reuniting with the director on the film. "I'm in the process right now, about six months out," he said while promoting the superhero flick at Comic-Con. "I'm eating tons of carbs, lifting. When we get close to the date I'll start to shred down a little but the goal is to be bigger than Creed," he added. (ANI)
