FD Zone to screen popular Japanese animation film - 'Tomako Love Story'

Mumbai [India], Jan. 20 (ANI): Like India, Japan to is getting decked up to celebrate 2017 as the year of Japan-India Friendly Exchanges, marking the 60th anniversary of signing of Cultural Agreement. The Films Division of India, the Consulate General of Japan in Mumbai and the Japan Foundation have joined hands together to hold the screening feature length animation film 'Tomako Love Story' today, as part of FD Zone Screening. The film, by well known Japanese animator Naoko Yamada, is a sequel to the popular TV animation series (2013) 'Tomako Market,' produced by Kyoto Animation. The romantic comedy film, is a light-hearted depiction of the ordinary, but luminous everyday life of a mochi (rice cake) shop's daughter, highlighting her love with a childhood friend. Honourable Consul General of Japan in Mumbai Yoshiaki Ito and Consul, Culture and Information, Junichi Kakuta will be present for the screening. (ANI)
