Washington D.C [USA], Sept. 19 (ANI): Garry Shandling, Gene Wilder and Anton Yelchin were among the late celebrities, who received a warm tribute at the 68th Primetime Emmy Awards. American actor Henry Winkler introduced the emotional segment honoring the 'Happy Days' creator Garry Marshall ahead of a slideshow with all names. "He was alive, he was a generosity of spirit and knowledge. I should know - he gave me my career. And I will tell you that anybody who was lucky enough to meet him, he changed their life. On behalf of all of us, Gary, thank you for inviting us into your schoolyard," he said. Reading the elaborate list of all the incredible stars, Winkler said their "accomplishments and contributions will never be forgotten." The honored group included icons such as Patty Duke, Alan Young, Abe Vigoda, Doris Roberts, Alan Rickman, Prince, Gene Wilder, Morley Safer, David Bowie and Dan Haggerty. The slideshow was accompanied by Tori Kelly's beautiful and emotional rendition of Leonard Cohen's much-covered 'Hallelujah.' (ANI)
