'How to get away with murder' star has advised her six-year old daughter Genesis Tennon- "You gotta wear your hair exactly the way it is. You can be Wonder Woman, but you gotta be Wonder Woman with your hair. You can be Elsa, but you gotta be Elsa with your hair", reported E! Online.
"You can do all of that stuff if you start with the palette of loving who you are", Davis further added.
With children's books, such as I Love My Cotton Candy Hair and I Like Myself! that paint positive images of young girls with curls and brown skin, the 52-year-old 'Fences' star emphasises on this point.
Because her daughter is at an impressionable age of six, Viola said that she tries really hard to push the message so that Genesis can understand the importance of loving oneself.
"I really push it. I push it", she said.
Reflecting on her own upbringing, Davis wishes someone told her, "I am enough."
"If someone had told me that just time and time again . Oh, my God! I would've had a completely different childhood. And my childhood was good, even with all the pain and poverty. But it would've been even better", she added.
In the Oscars red carpet of 2012, Davis had ditched the wigs and had rocked her natural brown curls.
On the professional front, Davis will next be seen in the upcoming thriller film 'Widows' next year. (ANI)
