Chris Evans wraps up shooting for 'Avengers 4'

Washington D.C. [USA] Oct 5(ANI): American actor Chris Evans who is famous for his superhero role in the popular science-fiction film series 'Avengers' has wrapped up shooting for his part as Captain America.
The 37-year-old who has been playing the role for the last eight years announced that he has officially finished shooting for 'Avengers 4', writing how it had been an "emotional day" for him. Evans also thanked everyone in front of the camera, behind the camera, and in the audience, for the memories.

He has played the superhero since 2011's 'Captain America: The First Avenger'. He has starred in two sequels - 2014's 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' and 2016's 'Captain America: Civil War' - along with two 'Avengers' movies.
In an interview with The New York Times in March this year, Evans had hinted that he might retire as Captain America after 'Avengers 4'.
"You want to get off the train before they push you off," he told the publication.
It's possible that following Evans' retirement, another Captain America could rise in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Evans will make his final appearance in the currently untitled 'Avengers 4' reported The Hollywood Reporter.
Directed by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo, 'Avengers 4' will hit screens on May 3 next year. (ANI)
