New Delhi [India], December 21 (ANI): Despite facing major casting issues, the production for highly-anticipated 'Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald' has finally wrapped up filming.

Taking the announcement to Twitter, the second of five adventures, penned by 'Harry Potter' author J.K. Rowling, has finally been completed.

Alongside a video clip of the production, a caption read, "That's a wrap on #FantasticBeasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald production! See you in 2018. #MagicInProgress #FantasticBeasts #WizardingWednesdays."

Following on from the end of the first film, the sequel - which is set in 1927 - sees the Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald [Johnny Depp] escaping from the Magical Congress of the United States of America (MACUSA).

Now the wizard is gathering followers to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings.

In order to stop him and his plans, a young Albus Dumbledore [Jude Law] enlists the help of Magizoologist Newt Scamander [Eddie Redmayne], who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead.

Even though it was a cute announcement, netizens were still debating over Johnny Depp's involvement in the film as the villain, Gellert Grindelwald.

The actor still had several fans who expressed excitement to see him on the big screen, while many continued to react negatively to his role.

The cast also includes Jude Law, Ezra Miller, Eddie Redmayne and Katherine Waterston in pivotal roles.

The flick is slated to release on November 16, 2018, in the US. (ANI)
