Washington D.C. [U.S.A.], Nov 8 (ANI): The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has reportedly opened an inquiry against 'Gossip Girls' star Ed Westwick following allegation of rape by actress Kristina Cohen.
The LAPD has confirmed that they had received the Cohen's complaint and that they are now investigating the case, reports Metro.co.uk.
Cohen in a Facebook post had alleged that Westwick raped her at his home three years ago when she visited the 30-year-old actor's apartment with her then- boyfriend who was friends with him.
The actress claimed that she went for a nap, when Westwick allegedly forced himself on her.
She wrote: "I was woken up abruptly by Ed on top of me, his fingers entering my body. I told him to stop, but he was strong. I fought him off as hard as I could, but he grabbed my face in his hands, shaking me, telling me he wanted to fuck me."
"I was paralyzed, terrified. I couldn't speak, I could no longer move. He held me down and raped me," the actress had alleged.
She further said she was coming forward following the outpouring of allegations against Harvey Weinstein.
The 'Wicked City' star, however, took to his Twitter handle and refuted the allegations leveled by the actress.
"I do not know this woman. I have never forced myself in any manner, on any woman. I certainly have never committed rape," he wrote.
